Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

People talk about me speaking 6 languages like it was a natural thing I sprouted with and not the result of me loving something so much that I learned a whole language just to better understand it. Learning was a result of love. I wonder if people can learn when they don't have a reason to.

With all the annoying and invasive autodubbing and autotranslating features I have to manually disable every time, I wonder about what effect that has on newcomers to the internet.
I wouldn't have learned English, much less Japanese if even google translate had been good enough back then
