FAA has issued MASSIVE temporary flight restriction which prohibits drones (i.e., photography) over Chicago.

They did similar around federal buildings in Los Angeles since June protests, but really no comparison...

Chicago's TFR covers 900x more area than ones in LA! 🧵👇

The admin’s efforts to get universities to agree to a list of demands in exchange for preferential access to federal funding isn’t just “troubling” as Ted Mitchell, prez of the @aceducation.bsky.social says in this article; it looks blatantly unconstitutional.🧵

I suspect it’s due to the cyberattack that screwed up the entire boarding pass system at Berlin Brandenburg? But tbh they look stressed enough that I wasn’t asking questions.

hi, federal judge expert here! this is not funny. conservative, Reagan-appointed district judges only use epistolary framing devices in their opinions when they are in extreme distress.

the postcard cited in judge young's ruling isn't just at the top, it's a framing device. the whole opinion is a letter to the postcard writer. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

(On file in Chambers) TRUMP HAS PARDONS AND TANKS ... WHAT DO YOU HAVE?
Dear Mr. or Ms. Anonymous,
Alone, I have nothing but my
sense of duty.
Together, We the People of the
United States –- you and me --
have our magnificent Constitution.
Here’s how that works out in a
specific case –-
UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT
DISTRICT OF MASSACHUSETTS I hope you found this
helpful. Thanks for writing.
It shows you care. You
should.

 Sincerely & respectfully,
Bill Young

P.S. The next time you’re in
Boston [the postmark on the card
is from the Philadelphia area]
stop in at the Courthouse and
watch your fellow citizens, sitting
as jurors, reach out for justice.
It is here, and in courthouses
just like this one, both state and
federal, spread throughout our land
that our Constitution is most vibrantly
alive, for it is well said that “Where a
jury sits, there burns the lamp of
liberty.”

As of today, I have officially finished my first walk around all 100+ miles of Philadelphia’s border.

That’s me and JJ, Walk Around Philadelphia visionary, at the top of the Washington Ave pier stairs.
A white nonbinary person with a buzz cut stands at the top of a spiral staircase in an Eagles shirt, below them is a tall white man in a red shirt. A third person is also on the stairs but their face is blacked out because I don’t have their permission to share.

If you are interested in ways the U.S. government is asserting control over online speech, then the Pornhub/Aylo FTC settlement is probably the single most important thing you're not paying attention to.
