When I presented this yesterday, I mentioned that I am #HoH since it was relevant to the painting's creation. One of the girls in class interrupted to ask, "How did you become deaf?" Since the "how" is completely irrelevant to the painting, I said, "I was very sick as a child" and moved on.

In trying to see if I could paint mist, the following things happened:
The dog pulled a lamp off the table
Dog ate a crayon
My paint fell onto my 6yo's doll cradle
6yo got paint all over her hands
6yo got paint on her pajamas and socks
6yo walked all over the house
Dog ate 6yo's tuna fish

So I'm reading a shojo manga called "I Was Abandoned and Reincarnated As An Imperial Princess" which is a terrible title for it, btw. "I Reincarnated as a Phantom Spirit Knight, Time for Revenge!" would be a much more accurate title.
(I'm getting the hang of these dumb manga names, right?!?)

So I gave up on this story, because it gave up on itself. It rapidly became a love triangle between MC, the Duke, and the Crown Prince. Eighty pages would go by that was just two boring people going on a boring date. It pretty much ends with them admitting that they forgot the plot.

I've been reading Shojo Manga to my kiddo as a way to bond AND as a way to read something I'm actually interested in. Definitely worth doing. But also, I have some Thoughts about how love is portrayed in these stories.

My health insurance provider, Bluecross, requires an annual check-up. The last 2 years, this was a quick telehealth visit. Husband's visit a few weeks back was telehealth. This one is in-person, at my house. At their insistence.
I agreed to this, but it's weird, right?
