This is exactly how I got started. After being denied and delayed trying to go through multiple legal avenues, I started DIY hormones ordering online. Then I walked into a new clinic and said "I'm taking estrogen regardless. Either help me do it right, or I'll just keep doing it the unsafe way."

Well if anything, completely dissociating from society this last year has been great for making progress on my gaming backlog, lmao. That and ditching (for the most part) live service games.

Every year I get some relative or acquaintance who asks why I don't even bother trying to reintegrate working society, and all I have to do is turn on the news for 5 minutes to find another case of bad-faith grifters trying to ruin a trans woman's life over nothing, or worse, manufactured outrage.
