Saying the product of the kidneys is urine is like saying the product of a factory is pollution. Urine is a by-product. The product is homeostasis. COI: https://pbfluids.com/about/

Which fucker at the ABIM thought that the day that IM board scores came out was a good day to do scheduled maintenance?

Welcome to #TenPostNephJC
Last #NephJC we discussed tolerance induction in HLA matched 🫘 transplants with donor Hematopoietic stem cells (MDR-101).
Missed the Chimeri-chat? No worries - We’re quite “tolerant” to those who missed their IS(Informative Session)!

but mandating treatment with something that is not available as SoC is also a little crazy.

And "allowing" is an escape hatch from the ethical dilemma of enrolling a patient on sub state-of-the-art therapy for the length of the trial (thankfully, only a year at this time)

And allow use of SGLT2i and sparsentan or atrasentan as long as they are started before study drug is initiated

No conventional steroids
No coated budesonide

makes for an interesting question, why should countries where the drugs will not be available enroll patients in trials?

The control group I am seeing in new IgAN trials:
requiured ACEi or ARB at maximum tolerated doses but no titration period like in Fidelio/Figaro trials

I think we are having a raging agreement. I'm all in favor of active controls. In fact at our research center we are refusing to consider any trials with drug against ACEi/ARB/Flozin. That ship has sailed.

I agree. People who care about being read don’t ask people to pay.

Okay this is a very cool gadget. Love the amplification of Eko. Don't love that it auto corrects to Elon (that little fuck is everywhere)

Not just hard to recruit, but with KDIGO guidelines pushing aggressive therapy down to less sick patients (only 0.5g proteinuria) it will be unethical

Really good update — there aren’t even any negotiations going on right now. And neither Thune nor Johnson feels empowered to cut a deal. It’s basically a staring contest.
