Intros: Research scientist/lab lead for Jill Johnsen’s lab at U. of Washington. We study inherited bleeding disorders and modifiers of hemostasis using NGS (long & short read, targeted and WGS) and in vitro assays. My main role is building the molecular and biochemical tools to do our research. 🧪🧬🩸

Aw, reminds me of this photo I took of my cat (Midnight) when I was about 5 or 6 years old. Her face is out of focus but I cherish the photo, anyway.

Unfortunate update: Link reached out to BlueSky and got email back now on reason.

His appeal is denied. He will remain permanently banned on BlueSky’s side.

Here are the screenshots he just sent me as of 8:22 AM EST(my time)

Pritzker has been great. But these reports that IL state police are assisting ICE, harassing and beating people who record ICE, and helping arresting protesters all seem to be supported by some video. If state cops are helping feds suppress rights over governor’s objections, that’s a big problem.

What I know from being Black my whole life, and poor for the majority of it, is that politely ignoring a root issue to attend to one closer to the surface is like robbing Peter to pay Paul. It’s a band-aid on a gaping wound, and it will not hold your flesh together for long. The US needs stitches.

This is absolutely a lie. There is no reason shutdowns trigger layoffs. They never have before. Trump is simply using the shutdown as an excuse to take federal employees hostages and to further gut the government.

It's a 'MONITO DEL MONTE' ("little monkey of the mountain") & it's a marsupial that lives in Patagonia at the southern end of South America.

It's also the key to a 50-million year old mystery: why are almost all marsupials in Australia & the Americas?
