I hope this whole gulf of America thing has prompted people to interrogate how they think about maps in general. They are tools of power influenced by those in power, not always a reflection of facts set in stone.

Watching the whole interview, it's very clear that CNN is trying to adopt Hasan into the Democratic Party and co-opt & de-fang his message. I think Hasan's unwillingness to break with the Dems is a huge failure.
Hasan Piker rightly pushes back on the idea that the Democrats simply need their own Joe Rogan, telling CNN "It's 100% a policy thing," calling for "real left-wing economic populist messaging instead of purposely avoiding that stuff because they're terrified of upsetting their corporate donors."

Watching the whole interview, it's very clear that CNN is trying to adopt Hasan into the Democratic Party and co-opt & de-fang his message. I think Hasan's unwillingness to break with the Dems is a huge failure.
It is hopefully crystal clear now that Trump can escape all accountability not because of his innate slipperiness but rather that the systems do not actually want him to be held to account in the first place
