The OMB impoundment memo's consequences aren't just about disrupting, in a profound way, *current* funds. It also makes it extremely hard to negotiate *future* spending deals if no one at the table can trust that the executive branch will actually stick to the deal at the execution phase.

I’m not 100% convinced that Trump will show up for sentencing in NY Friday morning. Power move would be to blow it off, say he’s immune and the court is lawless whatever SCOTUS says, and stay out of NY until the 20th. Doubt NY can get extradition from FL before the 20th.

The good news is that the top 3 teams in the draft order will all need QBs so there's still a very good chance that the Patriots can get Travis Hunter or Tetairoa McMillian at 4.
