To be blunt: if you are doing anything at all right now to reduce your risk of infection from SARS-CoV-2, you're being smart. As a result of the current high prevalence of flu, masking is back in the media. Ignore anything negative said about it. Political nonsense is irrelevant.

📽️ WATCH: After a bird flu outbreak tore through Midwestern barns, which led to 18 million hens being killed and a spike in egg prices, the Department of Agriculture didn’t investigate whether the virus was airborne.

But ProPublica did.

What foods should you eat during flu season?

OMG!

Get your flu vaccine, wear a N95 in high risk situations and clean your air because food doesn’t protect you against a virus.

What foods should you be eating this cold and flu season? Experts say beef, bell peppers, broccoli, oranges, pears and fermented foods might help boost your immune system. Learn why from Newsweek: https://ow.ly/fw7r50XCNyV #ISpyPhysiology 🧪

Sometimes I imagine what it would have been like had we adapted to Covid instead of giving up.

If we had clean air in public spaces.
Respirators in healthcare.
Free masks for those who need them.
Better tests & treatment.
Paid time off.

We would all be healthier.

It was six years ago today that a man in Wuhan, China began feeling ill.

He would become the first known COVID case.

Covid is still with us. It’s still killing and disabling.

Clean the air. Wear a mask. Get your boosters.

Public health is a social justice issue.

6 years today the first COVID case was identified in a man in Wuhan marking the beginning of a global pandemic that changed the world. We are way less prepared today to face another pandemic than we were back then. This fact makes me sad.

Sir.

if you can tell me how to easily disable AI on every device I have, I'd love to hear how

The fact that it's in almost everything *and* also a nightmare to disable is not coincidence.

and I'm tired of being gaslighted about that fact

1/ if you truly believe in #consent you’re wearing an n95 in public indoor and crowded spaces. no one—especially those more vulnerable than you—is consenting to breathing in your COVID air, which can disable them or, yes, kill them. you may feel it’s 100% fine. it’s not.

And we are all gonna pay.

We’ll get sick. Our loved ones will get sick. We’ll be the ones stuck in a nursing home that’s being visited by 30 kids in flu season… etc.

We will not get away with it at all.

It’s not kindness.

It’s laziness, corporate greed, cruelty…

If we were kind, we would have put in the effort to control disease so that it was actually genuinely safer for toddlers and the elderly to socialise… ->
