I recently reported in this forum buying a hatch from a Canadian manufacturer. The tariffs were a) 5.7% - baseline tariff on Canadian goods; b) 25% "reciprocal" tariff and c) an additional 25% tariff because the product "contained aluminum." That's a tariff of 55.7% paid by a US citizen, NOT Canada.

It is becoming increasingly evident (to me) that Donald Trump, who’s keen on his public persona, will go down in history as the man who either destroyed American democracy, or was ultimately prevented from doing so.
