I got this "firefly" phone at 12 because my parents weren't always great at coordinating who was picking me up, so I could call them without going to the office 😅

There is such widespread sense of fatigue with the Ford govt in Ontario. A sense we are hurtling downward in so many areas. Yet only 44 % voted in February.
There's no need to worry about becoming the 51st state. With Lecce, Ford, and the Cons, Ontario will be so morally bankrupt and environmentally desolate that people will think we're American anyway. #onpoli #cdnpoli

Nothing like too much unscheduled time to realize that no, I can't be trusted to organize my day. I definitely need to work full time just for the structure, otherwise I go full housecat and just look for soft places to curl up.

The focus on ridiculous hypotheticals is frustrating too. Toronto and other cities have been adding bike lanes for many years now. Find me examples, with data, of streets that were economically devastated after an install. Surely there must be examples where all these dire warnings came true.

Cleaning win: I tried on things I haven't worn in ages, with the intent of deciding what should be packed away for several months.

Cleaning fail: they all fit, they're all comfortable, they all need to stay in the very full drawer.

Conclusion: I need to go swimming more.

If you shop on Bathurst, as I do everyday, let local merchants know that you support the bus-way project ... and the conversion of this dangerous, car-dominated street to a people-friendly shopping and visiting area that gives priority to people on crowded buses. @ttcriders.bsky.social

People are being killed due to a completely unnecessary aesthetic design decision.

There is enough excess space in the engine compartment of many of these large trucks for an adult to stand up.

I'm actually really scared of losing the sky. I know that may sound weird. But to me a vision of the future that includes routine flying drone delivery, air taxis, & even space billboards (www.scientificamerican.com/article/spac...) is so oppressive that I feel claustrophobic just contemplating it.

It's "funny" to me that many of the "I'm not against bike lanes, but" concerns opposing bike lanes on major roads (e.g. "nobody uses them" or "what about EMS response times") obviously don't apply to a bus priority lane moving 40,000 people so folks are dredging up a whole new set of concerns.
The Dufferin & Bathurst bus priority lanes are the only way to break the transit death spiral in Toronto. They must happen & the mayor needs to make sure they’re a raging success. Mission critical as future fixes rely on their success. My column this week. Pls read n share.
