The mortality rate for measles is 1-3 per 1,000. In the US that would mean 342k - 1m deaths until we get back to universal measles vaccination. But that's okay with Rogan, I guess . . . It actually is a death cult.

This comment under Tim Dunlop's excellent article on the social media ban is spot on.

The social media ban is highly reactionary (& a result of a wedge) and is 'neat, plausible & wrong'

The real winners of Australia’s under-16s social media ban
Australia’s social media ban for under-16s is sold as child protection, but its most tangible effect is a transfer of power away from global platforms and back to legacy media interests.

Were I in a govt that really cared about kids, I’d be banning new coal and gas mines with rather more fervour than the current ban on social media.

Probably wouldn’t get the same boasting front pages in the Herald Sun and Daily Telegraph though…
The November monthly temperatures have been released and 2025 looks set to be the 2nd hottest year on record.

Remember when warming apparently stopped in 1997?

That is more than 0.5C ago.

Even more US military assets coming to Australia. More US bases. More US weapons. Celebrating a dominant foreign government sending its military into our harbours and cities and taking multiple footholds here … it’s cringeworthy, tragic and wrong.

When I have been asking people to guess which 3 countries voted against the ban; no-one got it right. Instead, guesses were Russia, China, Iran etc.

No doubt countries do employ torture, but isn't it significant that only 3 feel so entitled and unassailable as to publicly vote against?!
