The number 1 film when you were 10 years old will be how 2026 goes.

2026: 40 years of darkness, rivers and seas boiling, the dead rising from the grave, dogs and cats, living together, mass hysteria.

That tracks.

Remember how in Schwarzenegger’s version of the Running Man, the story begins when the military is deployed to California? And Ben is ordered to open fire on starving people in the Bakersfield food riots?

What a crazy, unrealistic dystopia, right? Anyway, the Running Man remake is coming out soon.

“Someday, I hope, we’re going to have a reckoning over the horrors of this moment, but I don’t think we can do it without a clearer understanding of how this fits into U.S. history. There’s a tendency to say, “This isn’t who we are,” and I get the impulse, but history is never that simple.”

We finally have the State Department Human Rights reports 6 months late, and it's hard to overstate how bad they are. These will get people killed. Specifically, women and LGBTQ folks have just been written out of these reports. Good luck applying for asylum... www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...

One man cannot, overnight, change a fact as written in thousands of copies of hundreds of different books across the world's libraries.

But under pressure from the politicians or guided by his own depravity, he can rewrite history overnight by altering the output of the LLM he owns.

When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

We as a nation went from “why should I get vaccinated, the government will track me, microchips, blah blah blah” and then immediately into “I trust AI with all my personal info, it’s my best friend, I tell it everything”- and that makes zero sense to me.

it is going to take so much love and kindness to deal with the amount of hate and violence we are going to experience.

we need to be as sweet with each other as we are brutal with them. we need to have as much love for each other as we have hate for the fascists.

together is the only way.
