We have a much bigger problem with people who shoot one another for no political reason than with those who do so over politics. In fact, many of our "political" attacks recently have been by emotionally disturbed young white men with guns and personal grievances. That's where we should focus.

It's necessary to keep pointing out: all this is not because ICE wants to deport murderers and rapists. It's because ICE is going to Home Depot parking lots, courthouses, and elementary school graduations to round up peaceful families, many seeking asylum, which means they are here legally.

Yeah I was thinking about this recently. The shocking part of Watergate is no longer what the president did, but that he was held accountable.
I’m about to lecture on Watergate and I feel, for the first time, that I have to explain to students why it was such a scandal.
