Hmm decisions for family vacation. 2 condos in the same building or 3 hotel rooms at Holiday Inn? Price is the same, hotel includes breakfast but it is a Holiday inn, which aren't always comfortable. Also trying to lie to the hotel because only 2 out of 5 people are over 21 and condo is 18 & up.

Took kid 2 to see Wicked for Good and it was wonderful. Cynthia Erivo absolutely makes that movie.

I might have bought an ice cream/slushie maker because youngest kid keeps saying we need one. I made slushies using mango nectar right after we bought it and it was good but no one really wants slushies right now. Today I made basic vanilla ice cream and I'm in trouble. Need good dairy free recipes.

I got the Costco ads for the holiday sales and neither of the things I plan to purchase are listed as being discounted. How will I torture my husband with going shopping that Friday (I work) if there is no deal he has to go get? Kidding, he has to go get the limit of on sale chicken to feed us.

If you have it please donate cash to the food banks. $10 in their hands will feed more people than the $10 worth of canned goods you can buy for retail prices. Also check on your elders. Many of them will not admit they rely on these programs so grocery gift cards or a surprise bag of staples

If you make 130% of the federal poverty level, you qualify for SNAP.

A family of four, making $40,560, qualifies for SNAP benefits meaning thousands of Missouri teachers qualify.

I’m tired of the bullshit. Most of the people who receive snap benefits work.

The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth over $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP.

Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP.

The people who need help are not the problem.

It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.

Rocky Horror Picture Show is on Disney+. Does that make Frank N Fruter a Disney Princess?

Hey why haven’t I seen an all-hands press conference from democratic leadership saying the president must be impeached for threatening to use troops on US citizens? Like why aren’t 25 key Dems in a room right now with every camera in the country?

man it's almost like it's possible to simultaneously hold the ideas that violence is bad AND that directly enabling violence has ironic consequences AND that the world is objectively better without Charlie Kirk in it at the same time and they all don't conflict with each other.

Wild shit, I know.

should charlie have been shot? no, definitely not. this country has a gun violence problem and he is the latest statistic.

did he say that people should die to sustain the amendment that will potentially end his life? yes, he did.

do i feel bad for him? haha, no.

two compatible opinions.

Woo Hoo, I scored a wyvern animatronic to add to my collection. It will be joining my dragon, 12ft mummy, and demon. Fairly certain the religious guy next door hates us more each year but we bring a smile to the people that stop by.

All I think about when I hear people say that it’s bad taste to dance on Hulk Hogan’s grave is that Emmett Till’s monument had to be replaced with a 500lb steel bulletproof monument because white people simply won’t stop riddling it with bullets. So now it just has tons of dents. From bullets.

In Denver for a concert and decided to go to the aquarium today. All that money, for maybe an hour and to leave depressed by the conditions. Are all aquariums (and zoos) this bad now? I remember tanks not being crammed with fish and animals having some amount of space. Every creature seemed stressed

I remember not being able to make the appointment with the pediatric neuro because the good for 1 year referral would expire before the appointment and you had to have a current referral, that would be good on the appointment day, to make the appointment. Same for developmental peds.
When I hear people claim single payer, or taxpayer funded healthcare, in other countries is terrible because of wait times...I know they have never tried to make an appointment for a pediatric specialist, even in one of the largest cities in the US w/tons of health care infrastructure. #Momvocate
Getting in to see a pediatric specialist often takes months.

Many pediatric hospitals are already past capacity many days.

The big ugly AF bill is going to make these problems much worse.

Anyone with kids, regardless of your insurance, will be affected.
