Hi! So I'm L, I do a lot in SFF and one of those things I do is run the Ignyte Awards. We're a spec lit award centering the perspectives/contributions of BIPOC in genre. We came about because existing legacy institutions sustain(ed) practices disrespectful or exclusionary of marginalized creators.
It's still so sad to me that Tolkien wasn't able to complete his Legendarium. Makes me wonder what else he planned for his world...My Library of Alexandria, everyone.

Let me make it abundantly clear. Editors can not be replaced by Grammarly or Prowritingaid or hell even Autocrit. Your books will be read by humans and so logically you need A HUMAN to edit or beta read your book. I thought that was common sense, but nah.

In case no one told you, Harper Collins is demanding that their staff train AI with their authors' works without author consent.
