Joy is about understanding, recognizing, and deeply internalizing the profound truth that everything in this life—every emotion, every circumstance, every moment of pain or pleasure—is inherently temporary, fleeting, and impermanent in nature.

I could be wrong, but I feel like the immigration debate spends too little attention on why decades of bipartisan consensus has encouraged a huge pool of under-protected, easily-exploited labor.

My lovely limited signed edition of @scalzi.com Constituent Service arrived safely today in the British Isles. The cover looks such fun but I might save reading it until @subpress.bsky.social send details of the e-copy, so the print copy remains unsullied. 😆

Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

Lots of people helpfully answering some other question that I never asked, so to reiterate:

Is there a way I can see what's on the EXTERNAL display via a SMALL SUB-WINDOW on my MAIN Macbook screen?

Thanks!
Mac question...

Let's say I'm using a Macbook for a presentation, with an external display to show slides etc; BUT I CANNOT SEE THE EXTERNAL DISPLAY because it's facing away from me...

Is there a way I can see what's on the EXTERNAL display via a SMALL SUB-WINDOW on my MAIN Macbook screen?
