No Other Choice: imagine if Hank Hill lost his job at Strickland and proceeded to murder every other propane and propane accessories guy looking for a job in Arlen just because he can't imagine doing a job that isn't propane

also Bobby is autistic and there are two Ladybirds

I just saw someone argue that Die Hard isn't a Christmas movie because it could be set on another holiday and then suggest the office party could be a Thanksgiving party...

...

...

In all my 25+ years of being employed I have never been to, nor heard of, a Thanksgiving office party

Dyker Heights Christmas Lights are pretty good, but a lot of people are sleeping on the Bay Ridge Holiday House a few blocks away

This is so good.
The New York City Transit system has thousands upon thousands of informational signs installed across the city!

More proof that I touch grass occasionally: Went to the Museum of the Moving Image today. Saw the Mission Impossible exhibit. Ate barbecue (no pictures).

This is me with The Last Jedi. I didn't love it the first time I saw it. I'm not even sure I liked it. I had to go see it again... and again and then I realized I did love it.
Keep thinking about this term "pre-digested" that Kojima used to describe art that's instantly gratifying. And how it's better when people grow to love something instead.

I've gravitated, as player and designer, toward the latter, but that term "pre-digested" is new and feels very strong.

In an attempt to use my Alamo Season Pass more, went to the Crunchyroll Anime Nights Sneak Peek

Sentenced to Be a Hero: This was pretty good. The animation was good, and the plot was interesting even if I figured out the "twist" very early on

Both Suikoden and The Last Jedi slap and if you disagree that's fine, but we're probably not going to be friends

Happy December 15!!!

I hate that Progressive ad where the spokesman says, "Lawn care is not a hobby!" Except... it is. No one needs to have a lawn; you make a choice to have a lawn and some people really get into caring for it. Not my thing and I think there are better uses of our land but still... totally a hobby.

I really, really think Hamnet is going to win Best Picture. I know One Battle After Another is getting all the buzz right now but Hamnet is the kind of film Oscar voters love. It also helps that it's a very, very good film.

When I watch Plur1bus I mull over the kind of questions I would ask in Carol's situation. I'm curious if the brains of the kids absorbed into the hive keep growing, or rather, are they growing less since all higher level/challenging thought has been outsourced to the hive.
