These micro places seem to be popping up near me, we now have 4 and Ive not been in any but I believe prices are even higher than the pub 🙄 Surprised we only lost 1 pub during covid, still 8, a club and 4 micro within walking distance of each other.

It’s rare for me to go to the pub now but that’s a health thing. Up until the end of last year I’d go 2 or 3 times a week but just for maybe 3hrs. People just can’t afford to go for hours, it’s just too expensive now
and younger ones seem to prefer sticking cocaine up their nose.

Where I am folks seem to go out late afternoon during the week. I can’t see pubs benefitting from longer opening hours. They’re having to do stuff like poker/dominoes/pool. Whereas weekends are busy right through with sport and live music. It’s at least 3yrs since I was in a pub at closing time.
