Trump DOJ is now looking at ways to ban transgender Americans from owning guns. Worth noting that the Nazis did the exact same thing to the Jews. Also worth noting they have no plans to ban right wing white supremacists from owning guns, even though they commit a vast majority of all mass shootings.

Apropos of nothing, absolutely nothing whatsoever, I'm well reminded of how in Lord of the Rings, evil loses in part because evil is fundamentally self-interested, and two self-interested parties can't keep their interests aligned with each other for long.

Honestly, when it was announced, we questioned whether a Cassian Andor prequel was really necessary. Several years later and it’s clear that ANDOR is essential Star Wars viewing. Must-see television. One of the best television series of all time.

Andor is doing a great job showing that the Empire might be headed up by a uniquely evil being, but the actual atrocities are carried out by ppl who want a promotion, or to prove their mother wrong, or bc they were ordered to. A more banal and insidious kind of evil but evil nonetheless
