Great article that explains how the organizational culture of universities continues to favour men.

A reminder to those of us trying to "buy Canadian" amid these ridiculous and harmful tariffs - make sure you're looking for Canadian media as well!

Many Canadians do not realize that most of our major media options are American-owned.

During my second pregnancy I became dangerously ill and had to go on medical leave in the middle of a teaching term.

And my chair (at the time) responded with the first negative performance review of my career.

Leaky, messy bodies getting in the way of institutional excellence, I suppose.

First they came for the humanities, and the quantitative supremacists and STEM folks said: "good, no one needs to learn how to read, write, think critically, or understand how culture and society works. We just need people who can code and do *real* science."

I wonder how that's working out? 🤔

Destination BC should start an aggressive ad campaign in the US.

It's a win-win. The exchange rate benefits Americans and gains in the tourism industry could help counter losses in other sectors.

It could feature Ryan Reynolds monologuing about neighbourliness in front of mountains.
