As we enter the Yuletide season, this is my annual reminder to all of you that Ted Kotcheff’s WAKE IN FRIGHT (1971) is a Christmas film.

They call themselves Binary Australia but all I’m seeing is zeros…
2/ 'On August 23, Deputy Chief Magistrate Sharon Freund found that Smith and Binary Australia- formerly anti-marriage equality group Marriage Alliance- incited hatred and serious contempt for two women, who were targeted after playing football with their local clubs.'

Not really a hot take but generational discourse is only good for light ribbing of withered remnants and gormless saplings, anyone who treats their age bracket as a meaningful political category is wasting their own time

No one look at this exclusive rat picture.

Thanks.

Convincing, until you try and count the wine glasses on the bar or inquire into the number and arrangement of the bartender’s fingers.

But when people already fall for obvious slop (or crude photoshops back in the day) I guess that’s plenty.

To the extent that this echange deserves reflection, it speaks to Johnson’s painfully tryhard effort to make TLJ a Morally Serious Star Wars Movie. I disagree with Sean but that scene is a jarring introduction of the extremities of war into a setting that hasn’t built up any real sense of it.

Incorrect, Kennedy shot Oswald.
Today is the 62nd anniversary of JFK being assassinated by a trained marksman firing a close and unobstructed volley of shots at a slow-moving and unprotected car, hitting a target who could not physically move. RIP, President Kennedy.

Pete Hegseth announces Operation Southern Spear.

There doesn’t seem to be reporting yet on what this means. But I assume it’s not good.

you mean the geniuses behind the Electoral College?
The American framers and thinkers of that time were so well versed in Roman history and the dynamics that led republics to perpetual dictatorship -- this generation more likely to think the problem with Caesar is that the buffet is overpriced

Review | Don’t be duped by the biggest buffet in Las Vegas
Caesars Palace promises a luxury buffet for $107. It still values quantity over quality.
