Online Now: Structure of the transcriptional co-activator SAGA complex, including the histone acetyltransferase module Online now:
Structure of the transcriptional co-activator SAGA complex, including the histone acetyltransferase module
Mattoo et al. determined the HAT module structure within the SAGA complex using cryo-electron microscopy. This provides insights into histone acetylation and the overall architecture of the SAGA complex. They identified two SAGA core subunits involved in anchoring the HAT module, enhancing the understanding of the RNA polymerase II chromatin transcription mechanism.

Larry Elmore's Ancient Red

My favorite art for all of D&D.

Have you ever wondered what happened to that brave warrior facing off against that awesome Red Dragon?

The answer was given to us in 1983 way before any modern interpretations. A thread 🧵

An article on Model Organisms, published in Science in 2005, lists the Models that together represent "the diversity of life".
Guess which model is missing from the list?

This view is one major reason why it's so difficult to obtain funding for basic plant research.
