I don't know who needs to hear this, but it's time to replace the Halloween candy you've eaten. Halloween is on Friday.

Most social media discourages equal dialogue. The algorithm decides who your ideas are shown to, and response to those ideas are either buried in comments or somewhat connected in response tweets/videos. The algorithm also cherry picks the incendiary responses because emotion = attention. 1/2

It’s getting lost in the noise, but the “Big, Beautiful Bill” just passed by the House GOP basically removes health care coverage for gender-affirming care for ALL trans people. Not only trans youth but trans adults, too. Only the most privileged trans Americans would still have coverage.

Sesame Street was created to ensure all children - especially Black and brown kids - had access to pre-k learning. 50 years later, apparently you only deserve to learn if an adult in your life can pay.

I don’t think folks realize how expensive kids’ shows are, and how important CPB funding is to the development and distribution of all the PBS KIDS shows the kids in your life learn from and love.

My life - and the world - is immensely better because of the trans people in it. Love y’all. 🩷🤍🩵

Commenter on NPR said “we need to work for the people who have their names stitched on their jackets, not those with pronouns in their email signature.” After a story abt the VA stopping gender affirming care. Trans ppl didn’t choose to be in the bullseye. Plz don’t cave to this false dichotomy.

This is how you do it. Continual corrections and insistence on facts and explanations for Trump admin decisions. Nice job, @michelmartinnpr.bsky.social

I spent the week panicking about a work task. Finally did it today. Took a few hours, but a coworker helped, and everyone was thrilled with the end product.

I will learn nothing from this.

I’ve saved hundreds over the past month just by avoiding Target and Amazon. And I’ve enjoyed trying out some great local businesses. Not the point of changing my habits, but excellent side effects.

With Target going to the dark side, I’m looking for a list of still inclusive retailers. So far I’ve got Costco and my local co-op. Who else?

I've been putting off sending a professional email since July because I've dreaded the response.

I sent it today, and received a reply of "no worries that's fine" in about three minutes.

I will learn nothing from this.

I’ve been trying way too long to come up with a witty, succinct observation for my first Bluesky post. This morning I admit I failed. So hello fellow anxious people! Nice to see you here.
