Kia ora, I’m Aimee 👋🏼
Being in front of the camera isn’t really my thing 🥴
But here we are, pushing through the awkward to connect
Outtakes and all!
I’m running for Blenheim Ward in the upcoming LBE because I believe in grounded, empathetic leadership that turns listening into meaningful action.

I’ve proudly been radicalised by wokeness, I’m also a rate paying voter who wants more cycle lanes, Māori Wards, public transport, decent public toilets, urban green spaces, and an end to fast tracked housing being built on flood planes. #nzpol #LocalElectionsNZ #OneTermGovernment #Aotearoa #NZ
I’m so radical that not only do I want more cycle lanes, I also want more accessible public transportation
I'm a ratepayer who votes in local elections and I actually do want more cycle lanes

58% increase in Auckland homelessness. 40% increase in Wellington. Christchurch emergency housing applicants nearly all turned away as govt "saves" $250 million a year in emergency housing, while throwing ~$2bn a year on PPP prisons.

Is this us, New Zealand?
Because it feels like it.

Homelessness up by 58%
$250mn in emergency housing "savings" a year under National, while government increases corrections budget to ~$2b a year, and will surpass NZ's ”moral and fiscal prison failure prison rate” by 2026

Luxon's leaving no room for doubt about his racist, anti-Māori credentials today.
My feeling is that he personally espouses these opinions. But they must also think there are votes in it.

PM on haka punishment: 'If they want to muck around, so be it'
Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has flatly rejected the possibility of watering down the proposed punishment for three Te Pāti Māori MPs.

Hey is anyone else really angry that Simeon Brown hid the SIGNIFICANT risks of outsourcing to private hospitals from the public? Why this is not plastered all over news outlet is beyond me - Stuff could easily find "clicks" if they wanted to.
Warnings about serious risks in surgery outsourcing blanked out by Simeon Brown's office
Simeon Brown was told of serious risks in outsourcing surgeries to private hospitals, but his office withheld most of the information.

David Seymour doesn't understand processes because he's never done anything but work as a fundamentalist for the extreme neoliberal movement. It's why school lunches still have issues, he doesn't understand root cause analysis. So how can he be in charge of reviewing every piece of NZ regulation? 😱
