before you decide you don't want to vaccinate your children you should have to take a 4 hour cemetery tour with me where i point out every tiny little headstone of a child that died from a preventable disease and is buried with their parents who would have done anything to save them

Amazon invented a problem: "we're gonna leave millions of valuable packages just laying on the side of the street every day" and then was like "oh no look at all these disgusting criminals taking advantage of you, here, buy this surveillance camera" and like 90% of Americans said "cool"

Big ups to my mom this year for giving my kids the gift of a small house fire machine

Spent this very cool day painting because I am a nobody in this declining empire. Bird Lord is good enough. Moving on to the last 4 figs in the Skaventide spearhead and the SCE half (spearhead at least) will be complete. Might take a break and paint the Skaven spearhead instead of more stormcast

Ok yeah I think I do like the wet blend base coat after all. Moved on to some didgy glazing and highlights. Good enough for Sigmar

Ringing in the New Year by trying something that I think I hate (wet blending on the knees that looks pretty wack? Or good?). Either way, its practice for Ionus and Iridan next year. Gonna try and finish my spearhead by next year at least.

Old man Potter, the evil billionaire from It’s a Wonderful Life calls the working families of Bedford Falls “a bunch of garlic eaters.” The oligarch class has always tried to squeeze in new slurs to keep the rest of us down. Merry Christmas to all of us garlic eaters. There are no rich men in heaven

This is a really good interview! If you have any interest in Japanese to English localization in the 90s and/or FF IX, give it a read!

Remember kids, if you're working today, no you're not. It's Christmas Eve Eve. Put 8 hours of fake meetings on your outlook calendar. You're meeting with Santa. Take a dozen smoke breaks and feed a reindeer. Dasher and Dancer love Newports. This work week is over if you believe it is.

Drow pt 2
Dragon Issue #267
Artist David Day

I don't think a lot of these read as "Drow" exactly given that the stereotypical black skin and white hair seems to be mostly absent from these portraits. Still, a lot of character in these. All of them work for various flavors of disgruntled elf.

Unlikely PCs pt.2
Dragon Issue #274
Artists Todd Lockwood, Sam Wood

This whole gallery feels very quintessential 3E, which makes sense given Todd and Sam were staff artists at WotC and worked on the initial art design for 3rd edition. Todd's work in particular is all over early 3E WotC Releases.

Swashbucklers pt.2
Dragon Issue #273
Artist Ted Beargeon

The swashbuckler gallery has some really great portraits. I don't know that they all read as "swashbuckler" but it doesn't really matter. A lot of the portrait articles/galleries have titles that only line up with a handful of their pieces.

I made a mod that replaces cliffracers with Thomas the Tank Engine. I am incapable of learning lessons whenever it involves corporations, because I fundamentally do not view toy company CEOs or media CEOs as people.

I am a total nobody out here but I think it sucks so much that AI garbo has polluted TTRPG resources so I am compelled to help with that in some small way. Reject modernity, embrace tradition (in this specific case)
