When we moved into our home on wheels, I put a lot of books in storage and in the care of loved ones who I trust. That didn't stop me from making a "Who has my books" list that looks more like a revenge note.

Going to a county fair in the south is always a reminder of how much these are spaces for unironic conservative "patriotic" propaganda and police surveillance, as the majority of the families attending are communities of color.

But at least there's funnel cake.
