Vincke seems to double down on his AI stance. Real shame to have made great games without GenAI for decades and now burn it all down for reasons. Money corrupts the mind. I wish them to come back to making things with their hearts, if not well I have no interest in what they generate.

i understand that these corporations are beloved by many, but as soon as you start defending their use of AI, even if it's "a little bit", i need you to understand that you are being used as a corporate tool to normalize AI. reject it with all your might. corporations arent your friend.

"we USE ai, but our game wont CONTAIN it" is a clarification that no one has ever cared about & now CEOs are using it as a wedge to get their foot in the door as a part of a long term plan into normalizing AI, just like how 'it's just placeholder' was used with E33. dont cede even an inch of ground

the middle ground IS just not using it peacefully.

the extreme (but still correct) take is that anyone who developed an LLM using data that was acquired nonconsensually should face criminal charges.

the middle ground is to not put any AI generated shit in the finished product if you want me to buy it🤷‍♂️
