Zelenskyy has really raised the credibility of comedians, but also given the world a wildly misleading bar for what most of us are capable of.
A guy who used to be a comedian & is good at improv and dealing with hecklers and who has also spent the last 3 years in a war zone turns out to be a guy you can’t out-alpha, imagine that

Musk keeps talking up his young DOGE team as being the best for the job because they are ‘the world’s top coders’. But writing good code is only a small part of creating successful software. It’s like saying someone’s a great chef because they’re the best at chopping vegetables.

This is the best summary of the current TikTok/RedNote situation that I’ve seen
I don't know how many of y'all are watching the migration of American TikTokers to RedNote, but it's the most fascinating thing I've EVER SEEN HAPPEN ONLINE.

If anyone UK-based is confused about the Connor/Elon thing:

The best 'old media' comparison is Louis Theroux interviews.

Connor has a low-key style that interviewees respond genuinely to. The nice people engage nicely. The arseholes out themselves while thinking they're smarter than him.
Look my brain is definitely at the “extremely fried by non-stop internet since age eight” end of things but I have just been trying to piece together Elon and some pants guy on Twitch for ten minutes and does BuzzFeed still do explainers? Anyone?
