RFK Jr referenced health records from the 1950s, saying 11% of Americans had a chronic disease when “[his] uncle was president,” and now in 2025 it’s at 76%. I probably would have had a minimum of two lobotomies by now if we were still using 1950s science and research.

I think we could solve a lot of problems by having professional news orgs immediately disabling comments on all social media posts. The things I’ve seen people comment on stories about politics is almost criminal. I say this as a journalist, when do we start holding mass media accountable? 🤷‍♀️

The Trump administration's detention of Mario Guevara sends "a chilling message to journalists who weren’t born in the United States: abandon news reporting, particularly on ICE, or you could be next," @kgosztola.bsky.social writes.

ACLU filed habeas petition demanding the immediate release of Mario Guevara from ICE detention in Georgia. He's been in solitary for two months.

to all the marketing/media relations professionals out there: don’t send journalists a pdf of a news release. there’s nothing that makes me not want to write about something more than receiving a pdf. they suck and aren’t all made equally.

@lakewoodoh.gov is one of the only cities in the country where all three branches of government are led by women.

Why, in 2025, is Mayor Meghan George calling our city council president “temperamental” when the president, Sarah Kepple, was nothing but cordial UNTIL she was interrupted.

Happy Father’s Day to my dad and all of the fathers across Northeast Ohio! 🫶🏽

Love and respect to all the dads, grandfathers, and father figures who do so much for their families.

Dad, I could never repay you for all the things you’ve done for me. Today, I thank God for blessing me with you. 🙏🏽

Again, the Secretary of State has no authority to “revoke” green cards.
UPDATE — Secretary of State Marco Rubio has now commented on the Trump admin’s detaining & attempted green card revocation of a Columbia Gaza encampment student negotiator:
“We will be revoking the visas and/or green cards of Hamas supporters in America so they can be deported.”
NEWS: Last night, the Department of Homeland Security detained a Palestinian who helped lead the Columbia encampment.

Agents told him his visa was revoked. He said he had a green card. They were confused—then said that was revoked too.

His attorney demanded a warrant. Agents hung up instead.

When we searched Trump's executive orders & agencies for a clear definition of "DEI," there wasn't one. But after we looked at what's being targeted by MAGA resegregationists, the definition was clear:

DEI is their term for "something that doesn't help white people.."

The EU has also banned those blinding LED headlights. Driving over there must be exquisite.
Next year, the EU will require cars to have buttons & dials -- not just touchscreens -- to get a top safety rating.

This is a great move. Drivers can fiddle with knobs & buttons without taking their eyes off the road, but they can't do that with touchscreens.

(Even better: Tesla will hate this)
Cars will need fewer screens and more buttons to earn five-star safety rating in Europe
Euro NCAP will release new testing guidelines in 2026.
