Trump continues to just refuse to fund programs he doesn't like despite the fact that he does not have the authority to pick and choose which Congressional appropriations he likes and which he doesn't. He simply views himself as a dictator.

One shouldn't have to be an "outraged liberal" to think that roughing up and arresting Democratic officials for no good reason are extremely dangerous portents of totalitarianism. Not sure that "Trump's crackdown" is the best name for this authoritarian offensive.
