Thing about statistics (as a crappy professional in the field) is that "the numbers dont lie" is the kind of thing people not practiced in analysis say.
Methodology matters, framing matters, it's really easy to bake bias into things even if you know what you're doing (and sometimes because you do)

Worse advice I've ever received. As s girl transitioning in her 30s, the **last** thing i needed was caution. In retrospect, I wish i had rushed more!
Never could figure out why people leap to that.
