It’s Sept 11, 2001. You’re watching George W. Bush recite the 23 Psalm from the Oval like a dear in headlights on CNN. Imagine I then tell you that one day Donald Trump will spray a former Al Qaeda general here with Trump perfume—just two weeks after leveling the East Wing like the Twin Towers
Some bizarre stuff going down in the Oval these days. After spraying the Syrian president with his Trump Fragrance he then asks him how many wives he has.

Actually for those of us who lost our livelihoods for saying what was happening—a small price to pay compared to the tens of thousands of doctors, nurses, journalists, moms, dads and kids who lost their lives—an “I told you so” from us is getting off easy for people like you who made it happen

Barack Obama or Oprah or Beyoncé and Jay-Z or Rihanna could easily solve all of these problems for every single Black museum in the country. When they don’t, that’s a choice.

That’s all I’m gonna say

This is the Vice President of the United States saying "excellent" to collapsing an apartment building full of civilians and *maybe* one person who wasn't a civilian.
This jibes with contemporary reporting that the raids hit several residential buildings, in each case killing about 15 people and wounding more. Maybe a little more of the conversation should be about how cavalier we apparently are about bombing civilian homes? www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/3/...

What Vance is doing here is ENORMOUS disinformation. International students at the undergrad level typically pay full tuition, which subsidizes tuition for American students on financial aid by keeping tuition costs lower. At the grad level, domestic students are harder to recruit!
"Last week, Vance said foreign students at elite U.S. universities are 'not just bad for national security,' but also 'bad for the American dream, for American kids who want to go to a nice university but can’t because their spot was taken by a foreign student.'"

This strikes at the heart of my own punishment. I will never stop speaking out, no matter how much Northwestern & Biden & Trump & Congress try to illegally punish me. But they’re hoping that in seeing what they do to ME, it will make YOU self-censor. Please, don’t let them!!!
Letter from @columbiajournalism.bsky.social rightly notes that "punishing even one person for their speech is meant to intimidate others into self-censorship." There are over a million international students nationwide living in fear "that they are no longer free to speak their mind."
