Israel illegally intercepted another flotilla carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza, detaining six Canadians in the process.

The government says it offered consular assistance.

But a contact for the three Newfoundlanders on board told me the support from the government has, largely, been “nothing.”

Gotta love that our university president set into motion a flurry of emails and phone calls at 6 AM this morning that was at least in part fear mongering.

However, the force noted that two people were arrested on campus after classes were interrupted. “One person was arrested for starting a fire alarm, so [a potential charge of] mischief,” said Raphaël Bergeron, a spokesperson with Montreal police. “Another person was arrested for assault.”
