The point here is to believe people when they tell you who they are. Gavin Newsom hangs out with Republicans because he likes hanging out with Republicans. This isn't 4-D chess. He wants to hang out with Ben Shapiro and Steve Bannon. When he says he agrees with them on things, it's because he does.

prompt: "repost with your home river"

colorado (texas) → willamette → oakland estuary → don (ontario)
My favorite Twitter prompt was "RT this with your home river," so reskeet this with your home river.

Plan A was pillsbury crescent dough. When I opened it up the gluten was clearly in bad shape and I noticed it was best by 3 months ago.

Plan B was puff pastry we had in the freezer. The box directions for defrosting in the microwave resulted in a soggy mess.

Plan C was making biscuit dough.

Beautiful and savage!
Early release to Nebula: I’ve been assured by no less than The NY Times that the answer to the housing crisis is…building lots of residential really far away from anywhere anyone wants to be. I have thoughts. (This one comes with a top 10 list, just to stay on brand)

For a few months now I’ve had this fantasy where I would show up at Bar Corallini and it would be quiet enough that I could get some sweet vermouth advice. My first few attempts were always too busy, but tonight I lucked out. Currently sipping on a truly excellent Negroni, and I have a thing to buy.

It’s raining here in Madison. February rain means that salt from road and sidewalk treatments isn’t swept up by street cleaning and just goes into the lakes and our aquifer. It’s just another cool way the climate crisis harms our environment.
