A bet, not a viable business plan.
The one thing that doesn’t last in perpetuity is liability of mining companies for any damage and contamination that mines cause. They simply go out of business with states and locals on the hook for cleanup.
This seems like a great thing to have in perpetuity along the Kuskokwim River. #akleg

The trump administration is obviously trying to take a wrecking ball to American culture and history. MAGA needs to be crushed into an embarrassing footnote.
I cannot emphasize enough that the White House has no authority to withhold funds from the Smithsonian. It can, however, try to persuade/threaten Congress to reduce future funding.
