#hobbystreak day 134: today I started building a Chaos War Dog, and customising it with green stuff and spare parts.

#hobbystreak day 133: yesterday I varnished and finished basing the Saturnine Dreadnought.

I am extremely annoyed not just that I have a cold; but that I have a cold just two weeks after getting over one. There's something profoundly unfair about that.

updated list of art avаilablе for sаlе

A great way to sаvе mоnеy if your budget isn’t big enough for cоmmissionеd art. I’ll add the logo and album title for free. Minor edits based on your request can be made for an additional pricе

#hobbystreak day 132: started doing some freehand bits on the Rhino, Venomcrawler, and Saturnine Dreadnought this morning; but didn't get anything more done (or take photos) as I've spent the rest of the day in bed with flu.

#hobbystreak day 131: lots done today as the weather was awful. Built more kitbashed Chosen; started undercoating them, a Chaos War Dog Knight, and some Heresy jump-pack assault marines; and got the Saturnine Dreadnought almost tabletop-ready, once it's based.

I really wanted to avoid posting about Your Party because it's such a waste of energy, but when they're explicitly saying "you can't call people transphobic, that's rude", that feels *really important*
I hear the YP conference convener just called out someone using 'transphobic' and said they want to keep things respectful

There it is, lads.

There's your party.

part of the reason i am genuinely irritated with the gAI/AGI cult is because there is real societal benefits in using ML techniques in medical care + weather analysis, and instead people get annoyed with anything that gets lumped in with the plagiarism machine
We could save soooo many lives but people are so caught up in their reactionary moral panic nonsense

#hobbystreak day 130: yesterday I finished the Rhino - or at least, got it to tabletop-ready - and started putting together some Chaos Marine Chosen using mk6 bodies and bits from my bits boxes.

#hobbystreak day 129: game day! A few mistakes cost me in a game that was close right up until the end, when it suddenly wasn't. Good fun though.

#hobbystreak day 128: more Rhino progress. Few layers on the red, washes on the metals, and rough panel lining. As always, slow progress is still progress.

#hobbystreak day 127: not much painting time today, but I got the initial black base coats done on the Rhino; and some initial metals. Small progress is still progress.

#hobbystreak day 126: finished the Techmarine and Lascannon friends; started on some tokens to help track when my armies have controlled an objective; and got some paint on the Rhino.

Unironically, that new Worm song has done wonders to improve my mood. I was happy proper sad hours until I listened to it.

#hobbystreak day 125: today I played a game in the morning against a friend (my meme list lost badly, 48-100). Then in the evening I primed the Rhino and got some more paint on some Word Bearers.

#hobbystreak day 124: yesterday I didn't do too much, just finished building the Rhino tank.

"Reform would be worse" is both entirely correct and entirely irrelevant until polling day 2029. What matters right now is that Labour's approach is morally repugnant on its own terms, *and is empowering Reform*. As things stand today, its not Labour or Reform. Its Labour *then* Reform.
While it feels like I'm repeatedly slamming my head against a brick wall repeating this massively simple concept. Saying "Reform would be worse" doesn't make what Labour is doing better. Labour is now the most anti-immigration, anti-any marginalised group, government we have seen in decades. 1/
Very long thread: As with many of Labour's anti-immigration policies, this isn't new. British police have been stationed in other countries for this purpose for a long time
It does however show how Labour is pushing more on anti-immigration than previous governments. 1/

Yes! This is so important! Machine Learning is doing wonderful things like mapping Martian craters and analyzing microbe genomes. LLMs are a very specific form & it’s them doing these huge amounts of harm. I also sometimes say “Gen AI”
when I mean both LLMs and art generators; I try to never say AI
Journalist challenge: Use “Machine Learning” when you mean machine learning and “LLM” when you mean LLM. Ditch “AI” as a catch-all term, it’s not useful for readers and it helps companies trying to confuse the public by obscuring the roles played by different technologies. 🧪
