We made this free open source app to help people take their first steps with coding. It's used in schools and part of Godot docs' getting started series.

After focusing on our curriculum, I'm back to improving it. Next version drops in January with clearer lessons where newcomers struggle most.

If you're not trans, I don't think I can fully explain how important this is.

It's so powerful that one of the most circulated science media publications in the world has come out and said "trans children are real and providing transition care improves their lives." That's groundbreaking.
The name "Popular Science" doesn't mean we shift our coverage depending on public opinion. It means we cover relevant subjects that are rigorously researched, reliable, and grounded in reality.

And trans lives are grounded in reality.

We see y'all. No matter what.

First-of-a-kind study shows encouraging data for trans kids who socially transition
Ninety-four percent of participants in a new study stood firm in their trans identity after five years, and "detransitioning" is rare.

A red grouse (Lagopus scotica) I encountered in the Pentland Hills near Edinburgh last summer, demonstrating its very human-like alarm call. He seemed extremely cross that I'd had the audacity to ride my mountain bike across his patch and chased me along the trail for quite some distance.

A male rock ptarmigan (Lagopus muta) in winter plumage.

Ptarmigan is from Gaelic 'tarmachan' meaning "croaker". The p- was added when people mistakenly assumed it was a Greek word.

A bird forever warning people: "A werewolf!" (just in case of werewolves).

Keep thinking about this term "pre-digested" that Kojima used to describe art that's instantly gratifying. And how it's better when people grow to love something instead.

I've gravitated, as player and designer, toward the latter, but that term "pre-digested" is new and feels very strong.

Every bully thinks they're the good kind. Bullies tell themselves that they're doing their targets a favor by discouraging socially unacceptable ways of being. Is that not what transmedicalism is?

Fatphobia has such a grip on some people’s brains they’ll risk destroying their skin and bones forever to not have to look like me. The fucking pain and anger I feel thinking about that I can’t even put into words. It’s fucking evil. If you’re taking that garbage get away from me

Also, for the record, people are more than just their body types. If you only care about a person's body fat or lack thereof, or muscles, then you're part of the problem. Ex gainers don't lose their value as people when they decide to lose weight! They deserve support!

To me, part of being a fat fur is radical body positivity and acceptance. I want people to feel good in their bodies and to achieve their ideal shape, no matter what it is. Fat, skinny, muscular, everyone deserves to have respect and encouragement for working towards the body type they want.
That being said, it also REALLY sucks seeing rudeass people imply that being skinny and/or drawing skinny characters is horrible.
You don't know if saying this is gonna make someone feel even WORSE for how they currently look, if they don't wanna be that way.
