I hate to say it but the majority of the country is not going to die on the hill of trans rights. We can’t protect ANY groups if we can’t win a national election, so purity tests only serve to make specific groups feel triumphant. That’s not “erasing” them; it’s long-horizon strategy.

BREAKING: Israeli occupation soldiers physically assault an elderly man after attacking his farm in the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank.

Maybe, but I was briefly considering a run for council a few yrs ago & to prep I went to 4/5 workshops by women for election, spoke to 2 sitting councillors & had a good few long convos with family, for a 15k pa part-time job, as it was then, with no move or scrutiny, it's not hard to prep

Catriona O'Sullivan, I think, was on the radio yesterday discussing her play, she said she was approached to run & had discussions, then as recommended to her, hired someone to interview her, intensely, & she backed away based on that
So yeah, they can do it, they just didn't

Is very interesting how no journalists seem to want to investigate how 'multiple sources' could have knowledge of the results of a Garda vetting undertaken in 2018, and be in a position to pass it on to an ex-garda.
