Building trust with Europe for Reset Mk 2 will require facing down Europhobia. There are loads of steps that UKG can take immediately, including constitutional, voting and media reform that would be very helpful.

But ultimately voting for populists, even toying with it, as a cost

This is spot on.

I'm concerned that Labour can't see it.
What Farage excels at is heckling, messaging.

His branding/comms are deadly and effective.

His weak spot is corruption, Putin, NHS & an incoherent economic alternative.

Be amazing if Labour attacked on those fronts instead of apeing his anti-immigration bullshit.

I can't believe I'm posting this video - but we actually have to have a conversation about the real world implications of America going to war over Greenland.

Let me walk you through it. It doesn't turn out well for us.

Nadim Zahawi arrived in the UK from Iraq as a child refugee. His family claimed asylum once they were here. Today he has joined Reform who will stop all in country asylum applications. Under his new party, his own family fleeing persecution would be immediately deported.

This reminder should go everywhere, when I’m out I will wade into conversations and criticise Farage/Reform with people who are beguiled by them - I WILL tell them that Reform wants to get rid of the NHS - because if they get into power, we all suffer.
Your regular reminder that Nigel Farage & Reform
wants to dismantle what is left of our NHS
and replace it with a US style privatised healthcare system
where the superrich get healed, the well-off go bankrupt,
and the poor live in agony and die young

So Nadim Zahawi is the latest failed Tory to join the re-branded, even more racist Tories - the Reform Party!

I've debated Zahawi in the past, and he really is extraordinarily poor.
Oh, & a hypocrit of course, as a refugee himself who'd deny his own family refuge now.

There is always the myth that no one resisted Nazi Germany.

But 130,000 Germans were arrested in Adolf Hitler's first 3 months in power.

70,000 Austrians in the first 3 days when he invaded.

And nearly 2m Germans overall.

They just didn't resist early and hard enough.

It’s exactly this kind of dismal, prejudiced bollox from the Daily Mail that’s got us into the ruinous Brexit mess we’re in. What a moronic response to us rejoining Erasmus and all the benefits that brings. If they’re really worried about cost, they should push to cancel Brexit altogether.

Staggering - the effort and resource *still* being invested in keeping the Brexit shitshow on the road.
No one’s held to account.
No one’s fallen on their sword.
No one’s got the guts to really speak out.
So, on we go, protecting this huge and ruinous lie, because telling the truth is too difficult.

I see that the chancellor did not adopt my suggestion to impose a Brexit tax of £5,000 p.a. on everyone who voted to leave the EU, which would almost compensate for the annual cost of Brexit to the UK economy.
