Lucky. Except in Wordle, where I’m skilled.
For my next domestic flight, I’m going to wear my oldest stained sweats, unwashed for weeks, after I’ve slept in them and used them as a napkin while eating buffalo wings.
Trump's Transportation Secretary on how to improve air travel:

"People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly... We want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season, help people out, be in a good mood, dress up"

If anyone here knows Colleen Guzman, The Hat Lady, in #Portland #Maine please tell her she was 💯 on my husband once he held that silverware in his hand. Thank her for being my angel today. It’s bougie dinners from now on, even if we’re eating sausages 😂

We are seeing multiple instances of reviewers doing manuscript reviews via use of AI/LLM.

If you don't want to do a review the old-fashioned way, better to decline the request.

Giving someone else's manuscript to AI is a violation of intellectual property rights/laws; the manuscript isn't yours...

Saying this again because true to MO, the RFK Jr. crew is blaming US measles outbreaks on the vaccine: there is no such thing as an outbreak of measles caused by the measles vaccine. It has literally never happened.

Furthermore, in the data we have, all but 4 cases in Texas are unvaccinated or...

This is the truth. When I worked in an office, I went to lunch, napped in my car, talked to people down the hall. WFH, I’m answering international emails at midnight, and I rarely take a day completely off—even weekends.
I am a County employee who works from home. I say the opposite is true. I work too hard from home, I barely take a break. In the office we used to take breaks, walk and socialize. They are getting a higher production level from me, for sure.

Headline feels insensitive right now, but the (2018) content is thoughtful and informative, especially if you have little or no experience of “the west.” It’s meant to burn. This isn’t Newsome. It’s partly climate change. And clearing brush isn’t the answer.
The Case for Letting Malibu Burn - Longreads
Many of California's native ecosystems evolved to burn. Modern fire suppression creates fuels that lead to catastrophic fires. So why do people insist on rebuilding in the firebelt?
