I joined the #Love30 campaign protest yesterday. Earlier we heard many excuses from the Minister's adviser as to why he couldn't introduce default speed limits.

Every day delayed will only bring more heartbreak to families. Numbers of deaths of vulnerable road users are far too high.

The 2015 Gender Recognition Act was a progressive step forward for Transgender rights in Ireland.

But progress has been slow since. I joined Transgender Equality Network Ireland at their campaign briefing to implement recommendations of the 2018 review. Trans rights are human rights.

Probably the most important thing the government could do this budget? Start saving.

Deeply unsexy policy, I know, but I've seen first hand what happens when a government just spends everything immediately - without looking to future crises and the threat of climate change.

We’re deeply saddened to hear of Manchán’s passing. A candidate for the party in 2016, he was more importantly a passionate and skilled advocate for Irish language and culture, and an appreciation for the beauty and importance of nature.

The great virtuoso Dublin fiddle player Tommie Potts was celebrated in City Hall with the launch of a beautiful book on his extraordinary life by Seán Potts.

It was a treat to join the celebrations of one of our greatest ever traditional musicians.

He brought his deep love of nature, heritage and the Irish language into our homes and into our hearts.

I am so sorry to hear of Manchán Magan's passing; a beautiful, gentle soul.

Ní fheicfimid a leithéidí arís; ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilís ❤️

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Jane Goodall.

Like all who cherish nature, she was a beacon, shining a light at the folly of our war with nature. She knew there would only be one winner.

We must redouble our efforts to restore nature, inspired by her vision.

🇲🇩🇪🇺 Over 50% of Moldovans voted for a democratic & pro-European future!

✊ This is a good day for the EU & a bad one for Russian corruption.
Moldovans chose hope over fear.

🫶 President Maia Sandu & her party will lead Moldova into a better future.

Disappointing that rather than reach out and offer support Cllr Carthy is lashing out at those who are…we need to put politics aside to fix the issue at hand. Thanks to both @rodericogorman.bsky.social and @malcolmnoonan.bsky.social for their tangible and very real support.

The Palestine Crochet made it's way to Kilkenny and was unfurled in the grounds of Kilkenny Castle; a beautiful creative statement.

We stood in silence and in solidarity with the people of #Gaza as Israel continues it's genocidal actions.

Day two of our community apple (and a little beetroot) pressing in the orchard of St Canice's Cathedral and a steady flow of customers.

All donations going to World Central Kitchen in #Gaza 🇵🇸

Our @greenpartyie.bsky.social think-in kickstarted with a press conference.

We're ready for the term ahead, to rebuild and build alliances with with other progressive parties and independents.

Nature restoration and climate action are being sidelined here and in Europe. Our voice is needed.

We need to change the way social media works if we're to preserve democracy.

Automatic recommender systems are placing misinformation and provocative material in front of young and vulnerable people - they need to be turned off.

Wildlife rescues play an important role in our wider conservation efforts in Ireland.

I visited Kildare Wildlife Rescue to chat with the team about the huge increase in demand for services.

I think its time that there was a strategic fund to support this important work.

As I recall, three parties agreed an ambitious climate and nature PfG in the last government and all but a few members of Dáil Éireann voted in favour of the EU Nature Restoration Law.

Why then would we even want to remove internationally binding climate 'rules'? Poor show Business Post.

It will be a source of great pride for many Greens that the CEO of an oil and gas lobby group is lashing out at the lasting impact of our policies.

"The Greens may be gone from cabinet, but their roots are still woven through the ground". Beautiful words. Thank you, Mandy.

I am saddened and deeply upset for our Indian community over the postponement of India Day 🇮🇳 celebrations but safety must be paramount in light of recent attacks.

My comments here in the link on the need for urgent action to stamp out racism.
