Fatphobia has never really ever stopped, but I can't help but feel like our cultural moment of fascism galore is why this (and ableism and racism and and and-) has spiked so sharply. Only the right kinds of people, right kinds of BODIES should exist.

These foods were: - grown or raised by Canadian farmers - prepared and packaged in Canada A food can still be labelled "Product of Canada" if it contains small amounts of imported food, such as spices, food additives, vitamins, and flavorings. Made in Canada A "Made in Canada" claim can be used on a food product when the last substantial transformation of the product occurred in Canada. A substantial transformation occurs when a food product undergoes processing that changes it to the point that it becomes a new, different food product. For example, the processing of cheese, dough, sauce and other ingredients to create a pizza would be considered a substantial transformation. Whenever the "Made in Canada" claim is used, it must also include a qualifying statement to indicate whether the food product is made in Canada from imported ingredients or a combination of imported and domestic ingredients.

Today's meal is homemade turkey soup with everything but the kitchen sink in it. Potatoes, carrots, celery, turnip, turkey, spinach and onions, plus a slice of bread. Nice hearty meal on this cold day. Thank you to Shirley for making such a beautiful meal.

Oh hey, the sidewalks uptown are better than I'd thought they'd be this morning, after all that snow last night!

Not too cold, either, if you bundle up and keep moving briskly.
