I spent my senior year of hs in a special program at a Veterans Hospital. I was 17.
We had to do volunteer work that aligned with our future career choice.
Mine was physical therapy.
Imagine being 17 in a dark, damp basement of the VA hospital trying to play catch with men without limbs. 😔
