It’s genuinely hard to watch, and the people who own the property are almost pushed by authorities to hand over the victim to ICE, but thankfully before removing her from the house they stop

and thankfully neighbors arrive and help force the ICE agents back

genuinely horrifying stuff

taking all reports like this with a grain of salt, Iranian sourcing is impossible right now, but I do hope the regime ends.
It appears that the Iranian regime is collapsing.

According to sources, government offices and banks in Tehran have been set on fire, and the protests are expanding on a very large scale across many regions and cities in Iran.

Don’t know if SDF recognizes this, but it’s facing a version of the dilemma that Lebanon has encountered with the Trump administration – namely, it can no longer expect the United States to take its side in a confrontation with the new Syrian government.
I remain baffled by what cards the SDF thinks it possesses. It's been clear since 2014 that the US was never going to recognize their political project, seeing it only as a temporary military partner force. And so much of the outward rhetoric is aimed at an end of history world that doesn't exist.

my man, you’re talking about the people who killed George Floyd
State and local law enforcement know the communities they serve. They’ve built the trust and know how to keep us safe.

As Minnesotans express their first amendment rights, I encourage you to remain peaceful and know that local law enforcement has one goal in mind: your safety.

Mayors aren't warlords.

Street-based power that unofficially protects and supports the elected (like the fash do, and unions used to) could extract more from them.

But without that street power, you get the status quo.

“We’ll Have Our Home” again is a song that’s extremely popular with white nationalists. It’s all over Telegram. I think the first time I heard it was from a video of a secretive group called the Mannerbünd.

1) ICE & BP have finite resources
2) they’re gonna try and make an example out of Minneapolis
3) Walz has talked about using the National Guard. Watch that space
Federal immigration officers are pulling out of a Louisiana crackdown and heading to Minneapolis in an abrupt pivot from an operation that drew protests around New Orleans and aimed to make thousands of arrests, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.

They always close ranks. Cops do not protect you.
Thank you for telling us you neither serve nor protect. Thank you for saying the quiet part out loud. That was state murder in broad daylight, captured from multiple angles by multiple witnesses, and the people of Minneapolis have eyes.

You support murder.

MORE OF THIS
The tragic death of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year old mother fatally shot by ICE, shows that ICE can’t be reformed and must be abolished.

I’ll be introducing the Abolish ICE Act as a step toward justice, accountability, and humanity in our immigration policy.

Time to melt ICE.

Not an exaggeration at all to say that the feeling in Minneapolis is that the entire metro area is being treated as occupied territory by federal agents. Impossible to overstate how overwhelmingly people here do not like it. This does not feel sustainable.

We evacuated our kids out of Minneapolis this weekend and my spouse reports that as she drove them out of town she saw "multiple freeway exits where people are being pulled over." It feels like the Twin Cities is being subjugated by a hostile occupying force.

Huge amount of aggression from ICE this morning. Just attacked protesters with pepper balls again. Absurd. There's barely two dozen protesters here.

I'm not sure if there's a sensitive way to say this, but it ought to be incredibly easy to rally around a martyr named "Good".

She may not die in vain, if people have some courage.
Editorial in the National Catholic Reporter: "The vice president's comments justifying the death of Renee Good are a moral stain on the collective witness of our Catholic faith. His repeated attempts to blame Good for her own death are fundamentally incompatible with the Gospel."

The man who literally wrote the book on the use of vehicles as ramming weapons says any claim Good used hers as such is false, and that her execution, followed by the false claim, is "death squad behavior."
🧵In my expert opinion as a researcher of vehicle ramming attacks, what has been publicly described in the video evidence does not support the claim that Renee Nicole Good was attempting a deliberate ramming attack when she was shot in Minneapolis on January 7, 2026. 1/7
