<div class="field field-field-text"><p><span style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">Palestinians in the West Bank city of Hebron have launched a general strike on Sunday to oppose Israeli forces killing two Palestinians on Saturday. </span></p>
<p>Footage posted online showed shops shut in the city and streets deserted. </p>
<p>The strike comes after Israeli forces killed two Palestinians: a 17-year-old, Ahmed Khalil and a 55-year-old, Ziad Naeem Abdul Jabbar Abu Dawoud.</p>
<p>The Israeli army said it shot Khalil after he reportedly drove a car into a group of soldiers.</p>
<p>The military added that Dawoud, an "uninvolved passer-by" was shot dead by the Israelis. Palestinian state news agency Wafa also reported that Dawoud, a municipal street cleaner, was shot while working.</p>

I have been thinking and talking about Israel my whole life, and have taught about Israel, Palestine, and the Middle East since 2008, well before TikTok existed. I can attest that young Americans’ opinion of Israel has gotten more negative over that time, and the main reason is Israel’s actions.
Also apropos nothing else, public opinion was turning against Israel before TikTok went mainstream
