AOC: What they like to call as radical, I believe is common sense.

I believe that when a person gets sick, they shouldn’t go bankrupt in the wealthiest country in the history of the world. Common sense

I believe that a minimum wage should cover the minimum cost to live. Common sense...

Eavesdropping on a convo between friends on the train as one explains the plot of The Hobbit & LOTR to the other who has never read or seen any Tolkien source material brought me so much joy today. Fav moments include — “I’m sorry, did you say Bilbo?” and “How do you not know you’re wearing a ring?”

Bodily autonomy means bodily autonomy. Full stop. Your body belongs to you and nobody else gets to decide what you do to it.

Have an abortion. Take HRT. Have sex for money. Have sex for free. Have no sex at all. Gain weight. Lose weight. Get a tattoo. What's right for you is your right.

The most frustrating thing is people are just going along with illegal orders. Don't DO that! Like the person who was fired without whom there is no quorum and whose term doesn't end til '28 should not be considered fired and everybody should stand by her.

This. This is what overthrew the elite enslavers in the 1859s and the robber barons in the 1890s. We need these new papers everywhere.

Did you know that by substituting your morning coffee with green tea, you can reduce up to 93% of what little joy you have left?

Great article by Rebecca Jennings for @vox.com detailing this monumental era for social media/web 2.0. We’ve been barreling towards a “dystopian technocracy” and, now that it’s here, solutions feel overwhelming bc we’ve lived so much life on these platforms.

It’s not conspiratorial to be worried about social media’s rightward swing
Meta denies any funny business on Instagram in the aftermath of Trump’s inauguration. Should we believe them?
