This last month has been honestly the longest and most challenging month I’ve had in a while. Work has been grueling with either union contracts or mgmt just acting out towards us. Self advocacy is exhausting but sadly necessary in the world we live in. Glad I can keep my hands busy.

Today I got to fire a piece in #raku for the first time since starting a few terms back. I’ve missed a chance every other time so this was pretty new and exciting. Sadly the kiln was losing heat so the reduction wasn’t completed but, we’re going to try to re-fire them next week!

One of my favorite autumns in so long. I’ve loved slowing down and spending time at home and in class with ceramics. It’s brought so much peach and joy into my life and I wish I could live like this regularly without the need for income. I know it sounds like a luxury cause it is. Time is a gift.

So glad that one of our city councilors and her cat escaped safely from this incident. I hope that this investigation goes swiftly to find answers on how this happened.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out with concern. Late last night, I woke up to my car, car port, and home engulfed in flames. I'm grateful for the quick response from Portland firefighters who prevented the fire from spreading even further.
