“The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any.” — Alice Walker

Even if you don’t feel it, every act of resistance matters. From where you spend your money to refusing to be silent, no act is too small.

That was a lovely surprise, and not too far from the last one.
A medieval casket key 🥰

That's me done for today, had enough of being battered by the wind.

Caladenia pusilla (tiny fingers) in open grassland near the Genoa River, VIC. Only one flower out at this location at the start of October - but several more in bud close by. Flowers are very small on this easily over-looked orchid - tip of my little finger included here for scale #orchids #spring

Connie’s Sandstorm is one of the most unusual and captivating roses—a rare garden treasure. With swirling petals in tan-brown tones brushed with mauve, it offers a desert-inspired palette unlike any other rose in our collection. Its rarity and distinctive coloring make it highly sought after.

I was trying to photograph Groove-billed Anis this morning, but I was photobombed by his scofflaw.

I VOTED 🗳️ YES ON 50 and mailed my ballot today!

LONG LIVE OUR REPUBLIC.

If you’re not sure about Prop 50, read your voter pamphlet. It has all the facts.

And then, VOTE YES ON 50, my fellow Californians!

‘To Sit with Her Wild’ oil on canvas, 50cm x 50cm, £780
www.charlottestrawbridge.co.uk/product-page...
She closed her eyes to find herself,
Feel the hum of the sky and hush of the meadow.
She closed her eyes to see,
To sit with her wild, to breathe in her nature.
And in the quiet she remembered,
Perhaps she’d never forgotten
This beautiful longing within.
There all the time, just hidden.

A variety of leaves in various stages of decomposition on the forest floor. There's a red leaf in the middle of the photo. It is surrounded by yellow and brown leaves and tiny bits of greenery.

One of my favorites. The color palate and composition make it seem dreamlike. 😊
