I count 10 cities in 2025 that are on track to have the fewest murders since at least 1970. Newark is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1956 (though only have data through Oct this year) and San Francisco is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1942.

I really don’t understand Counsell’s decision to use Boyd on short rest, which almost never works, when he could have started Assad or Rea, who are almost always quietly effective.

At last Sunday’s Trans Visibility rally in Chicago, police lined the route about every 15 yards w/ others on bikes. At today’s Hands Off rally, cops were much more spread out and I didn’t see any on bikes. Were police really that much more afraid of trans people? Or some other explanation?
